Warm atmosphere and good food

A very vegan-friendly place in the Aalto Museum next to the University campus area. There are a few vegan options on the menu and sometimes they organize special vegan brunches (check their fb-page for updates). A 6/5 recommendation for the brunch. Always at least one vegan cake option in the cabinet, often more. They cook and bake everything in-house which gives the place special character. Food has always been good and staff very nice. Too bad there seldom is a vegan option on lunch special! However, one can always have one of the vegan options from the all-day menu... a good and peaceful place for working on your laptop too. Student discount with a valid student card.

Pros: 2-3 vegan dishes on the all-day menu, Peaceful atmosphere , Student discount

Cons: Seldom vegan lunch specials :(

Little unknown pearl at Jyväskylä

Cafe Alvar is nice and calm cafe relatively close to city center. Unfortunately it is quite unknown place even among local people, maybe because it is located at the museum.
They have vegan soup, salad and pasta on the menu, and 1-2 vegan cake / sweet pastry every day. Ask about the options from the staff :)
Coffee is free when you are buying food.

Pros: Tasty Cakes, Free Refill Cup, Homemade
