Great - Edit
Spent 3 days in Graz and became addicted to their vegan fruit "strudel" (rolled pastry), made with a whole wheat dough. A lot of other vegan options, great!

Brilliant place - Edit
Graz is a very vegan-friendly city and obviously this place has the disadvantage that it's a market stall (with a couple of stand-up tables) not a sit-down restaurant. However the food quality is excellent, staff are friendly, and it's in the main square. It has changed it's name since the 2011 reviews and possibly also its management as all was vegan as well as delicious in April 2012. The vegan cream of asparagus soup was the best soup I've ever had anywhere - could finally see why the Austrians and Germans go crazy for the start of the asparagus season. Also do loads of interesting fresh burgers - polenta, puszta (hungarian), falafel burgers etc, hotdogs, linzer biscuits etc. Open every day except Sunday, and very difficult to walk past without buying something!

A rock of vegetables within a sea of meat... - Edit
This snack bar is an option for all those keen on a snack in the very heart of the city.
Read moreSourrended by meat-serving snack bars, it offers a variety of vegetarian and vegan snacks such as burgers, soups, salads or stews. They also have cakes and other desserts.
Another nice thing is that they offer freshly pressed juice, you can choose what fruits/vegetables to include.
Unfortunately, the last time i went there they even offered tuna-baguette, a no-go and not a bit necessary.
Also it's a bit pricy, so don't go there if you're very hungry. All together it remains an option for those who like a quick and healthy snack.

Pros: On main square, very central, freshly pressed juices
Cons: Tuna-baguette!

Fresh and tasty - Edit
I was pleasantly surprised to discover this vegetarian organic food stall between all the stalls selling meat products. Bio-Imbiss offers a wide variety of fresh fruit juices and assorted (hot and cold) veggie burgers and snacks. A lot of the snacks are vegan, but not everything vegan is labelled as such. The vendors are really nice, though, so you can always ask. Prices are, as expected, a bit high, but still, this is really healthy "fast food", so it's probably worth it.
Read moreBTW, there's a second Bio-Immbiss on Uni Graz campus, between Universitätsplatz 5 and 6 (opening hours: 9am-3pm).
Pros: lots of vegan options, friendly staff, fresh and tasty
Cons: a bit expensive, next to stalls selling grilled meat
