Serves meat, vegan options available. This San Francisco style Mexican joint has some labeled veg choices with Daiya vegan cheese, tofu, and veggies. Reported closed March 2022.
there's a marked vegan section on the menu. There are vegan options on many of the burritos, and You can get a normal or gluten-free flour tortilla for the burritos. You can get just veggies (no soy) or tofu plus vegan (Daiya) cheese in the burritos, tacos, Mexican salad, rice & beans plate, etc. I've been here many times and it's always excellent. Large portions and low prices. Same owners and same menu as Blockheads, a local NYC chain.
There's a vegan and gluten-free option on the nachos, which include melty, stretchy vegan cheese. Only downside of Benny's is that the corn chips are NOT organic/non-GMO. But you can get plenty of things that don't have the corn chips.
Come with Omni friends for everyone to enjoy a delicious meal. Eclectic interior and very busy so expect a wait during peak times. Lots of vegan options and hot sauce upon request! Could not fault our lovely server whose name I cannot remember unfortunately.
This is a great place to go with non-veggie friends. They even have a vegan section on the menu and can make just about anything on the rest of the menu vegan and/or with Daiya. They deliver too!
