Very good option to take away

I have been only once, in a recent trip to Santiago. The place is very small and there is no space to eat inside. I bought a sub sandwhich which was very good. The staff was very friendly and happy to describe their products, etc

Pros: Simple, but good quality, Inexpensive
Cons: Only take away

nice

chileans love sandwiches. really, anything with bread. i had the best 'submarino' at arte vegetal. the store/cafe is tiny, but offers a good range of items. they have fresh juices as well.

Vegan Happiness in downtown Santiago!

I love this place. It's inexpensive, a friendly atmosphere and they have excellent vegan food. They are more of a take-out cafe but also offer frozen vegan foods to take home such as the soyburger patties and vegan salami. Their vegan empanadas are delicious and really filling- packed full with veggies and protein from either tvp or tofu plus they use whole wheat dough. Have them warm up your empanada if you are planning to eat it right away. If you are craving vegan dessert, you are in luck, because they have a few items to choose from including vegan flan, cupcakes and brownies. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are vegan let them know and they will tell you which items are vegan. If you are in Santiago- go here! I've gone three times so far, and plan to go back again before I leave Santiago.

Pros: vegan desserts, inexpensive, friendly
Cons: no seating, small, serve cheese
