Crazy good food and VERY cheap-came back for more!

This is not exactly a "restaurant", and I'm pretty sure we would've passed it if we wouldn't have travelled 20min to visit it. It looks more like a snack bar. But the food is so tasty we came back the second day for lunch!

For 5 euros you get a bucketload of fresh naan or rice, curry of the day, lentil curry, fresh onion and yoghurt sauce. Everything is vegetarian (we just went with it) and it - is - crazy - good. The constant flow of Indian customers either eating in or picking up food and cakes for take-away says it all.

The first day we were there, when we had dinner, we also ordered some desserts. The fried balls were our favorite. The square cakes are also good but very heavy, so don't over-order - although take away is possible.
Next day for lunch we had the curry platters again (different ones from the day before) and ordered some of the fried snacks they offer. They came with a spicy red sauce and a fresh green sauce, and again they were really good! I would definitely recommend these!
Water is free, but the indian tea we had is also really nice.

All in all, when we had dinner -2 curry platters, extra naan, 4 dessert cakes and 2 cups of tea- we paid 15 euros(!!) for the both of us and the next day -2 curry platters, 2 veggie snacks and 2 cups of tea- we paid 13. And we were really full after all of that.
When we wanted to buy some extra tea mix to make our own indian tea at home, they gave it to us for free!

This restaurant is not very central but easy to reach by subway 7. In my opinion it is worth the effort and traveling expenses, especially because the food is so cheap.

As far as looks go this one is definitely not scoring very well. Think TL lighting, cheap furniture and very old bathroom facilities - so don't go here if you want a fancy night out. Go here if you want tasty, real Indian food and you might (or might not) be on a budget.

Some people might not agree with the 5 stars because of the looks, but we will definitely remember this place and go back next time we visit Paris.

Pros: Great food in nice portions, Very, very good value, Friendly staff
Cons: Snack bar look, Staff doesn't speak english, Vegan options would be nice

Just to be clear - everything is vegetarian, but the second day we also had a vegan curry. We didn't really understand the menu and possible choices - we in the end just asked them to bring us stuff - so it might be that they have vegan options every day.
