A Vegan Dream!

Absolutely incredible shop. If you're vegan, the second you'll walk in, you will feel proud! There is so much information regarding veganism from the walls to the food! The staff are wonderful, the food is hearty, and the ambiance is great.
I loved this spot and kept coming back. Rich in flavour and glowing in creativity.

Pros: Variety, Flavours, Educating the public

Agreed!

Ditto to the previous review. 'Ai Pono was closed for the holiday weekend when we arrived to Kona. We almost didn't eat there but were able to squeeze in a meal on our way back to the airport, and we are so thankful we did! it was crowded and the seating was right next to a busy parking area for cars, headlights and skateboarding, but the food was incredible and ample, and the staff were superb. We would definitely return next time! Our bellies were full all the way back to Alaska. We had the nachos, the burrito, and the Caesar salad. It was way too much for two people, we had plenty leftover.

Pros: 100% vegan, Superb staff, Delicious meals

Cons: Limited hours, Parking lot seating atmosphere

Wonderful food, convenient Kona location

This place was insanely busy when we visited, as was the entire shopping center (and town, really). So it took a bit for our food to arrive, but not only was the food worth the wait, the staff gave us a free kombucha refill and dessert to make up for it. The nachos were out of this world, with jackfruit, fresh cashew cheese, and veggies. I also had the pineapple tofu dish and was so impressed. All the veggies were fresh and delicious.

Pros: great food, good prices, friendly staff

Cons: limited seating, crowded shopping center location

Deliciously ono

I came here with my wife, I had the mushroom "Swiss" burger she the falafel wrap. Both were flavorful, fresh and just overall yummy. I look forward to coming back as someone mentioned that pulled jackfruit BBQ sandwich is their favorite. Washed it down with some ginger kombucha and was on my way to some vegan bliss!

Pros: Friendly, Tasty, Comfortable atmosphere

Cons: None

A Solid

I came here to the big Island for a vegan retreat, and was very happy to eat here. It is very casual as opposed to fine dining. They have all the vegan favorites and the meat analogues. Kambucha on tap was delicious. They also have a vegan bakery next-door, and everything is run by a husband and wife who put care and love into the food. Was DELISH !

Amazing flavours!

Would be nice if the staff would be a bit more welcoming and smiling

'Ai Pono is Ono!

'Ai Pono Vegan Cafe is located in the Coconut Grove Marketplace just around the corner from Jack's Diving Locker (bottom level). They are right next to GET SUM pizza and Evolution Bakery. 'Ai Pono translates to"Eat with compassion, fairness and balance" and is a small place with a lot of yummy selections. Has outdoor seating.

We had the Lentil Walnut Burrito, Field Roast Lasagne, Aloha 'Aina Burger - all were flavorful and was a good portion. The staff was friendly and personable. We will be back when we return to the island for sure.

Pros: 100% Vegan, Good Portions, Friendly

Cons: Not a lot of seating

Fantastic.

I went and created a profile on Happy Cow just so I could write this review. Don't get lost...it's right next door/connected to the Evolution Cafe/Get Sum Pizza.
Awesome meal, great service and just a really wonderful addition to Kona! We plan on going back a few more times to make sure we get everything on the menu!
Great place. Great food...get there now!

Pros: Food, Service, Food!

New location, great food

Happy Cow address was wrong at the time, so double check the address with their Facebook page. Our meals were great and the service was very friendly.
