CLOSED: A Rose Tip

A typical Thai shophouse cafe that serves vegan food. It has the usual Thai noodle and rice dishes, papaya salad, as well as daily specials. The menu is in Thai but the owner speaks English. Some dishes are pre-cooked. Casual setting, next door but one to the Indian Temple on the corner of Pan road and Silom Road. Reported closed to HappyCow. Price: Inexpensive more-less

I eat at this place a few times a week. The owner speaks English and is very friendly and helpful. They have a selection of hot food that you can choose from and they also make other dishes to order. Theses include various noodle dishes and also som tum (papaya salad). A meal usually costs around 40 baht (80p, $1.25).

Pros: Great value, Great food, Friendly staff
