Review: walked into this place thinking that it was your typical Argentina-vegetarian pay-per-kilo place. was very happy to find out it was 75% vegan AND all you can eat for 20 pesos (just over $5 US). not the healthiest or the tastiest, but great when your really hungry!
Pros: all you can eat * good value *
Cons: not all vegan * lots of fake meat * |

Review: Really good variety of Asian dishes, both vegan and vegetarian, with a few Argentine standards thrown in (pizza, ravioli etc). All you can eat to dine in or takeaway priced be weight. Overall the food offered a lot of options, there were a lot of people there so the food was fresh and regularly replenished. The dishes were quite bland, but only by Argentine standards. Good mix of salads, faux meat, tofu, etc. Nothing spectacular but a nice break from pasta and empanadas.
Pros: lots of variety * good value * fresh food
Cons: a little bland * * |

Review: So, as with most of the probably hundreds of Taiwanese vegetarian buffet places in Buenos Aires, this place has lots and lots of egg and milk ridden food, but also lots of good vegan options. There is a little more selection here than at most places, and some of the food is even labeled vegan! The vegan meatballs were very good!
Pros: Vegan meatballs * All you can eat * Labeled food
Cons: Not 100% vegan * * |

Review: I never expected to find the best vegetarian Restaurant I have ever eaten at in Buenos Aires, the capital of meat-lovers... But that is exactly what Bodhi was. Fantastic food, most of it vegan, all of it vegetarian. The place is simple and not where you want to go to for a romantic dinner. It's in a poorer part of town and lots of locals eat there, many of them come to pick up take away. There is no menue, just a big buffet with over 60 different dishes, you pay per person (mind you, it's dirt cheap, we paid 15 dollars for two people) and you can eat as much as you want. There are salads, lots of quiches and pies, stews, stir frieds, desserts, etc etc. The place is run by Chinese so there are lots of Asian dishes, but also lots of other things. We went there twice and loved it both times. Can't wait to go back. One note: as I said, it's not in the best part of town, so maybe you should consider taking a taxi. It's about a 20 minutes walk from Plaza de Mayo. Actually, somebody tried to rob us on the way home from Bodhi once (typical trick where they put dirt on you and then pretend to be helpful strangers), but then again, this is Buenos Aires... It just happens. Take a taxi and enjoy the food, it's well worth it!
Pros: food * price * variety
Cons: location * no alcohol * |

Review: There's a lot of variety here and therefore vegans will not have a problem. There was a few dishes with cheese in it, but you just have to ask and you'll be good. Also there's lots of fresh fruit and veggies too. The wait staff was helpful.
Pros: staff * variety * pretty healthy
Cons: not central * * |

Review: Founded by 7th Day Adventists (many of whom are vegetarians), my girlfriend and I went here last night and we really enjoyed the food. Think Los Sabios, only healthier and more out of the way. Whereas Los Sabios food is very good, a lot of it is fried. At Bodhi, there's a slightly better balance of fried, baked and fresh foods. Don't get me wrong, there are many of your favorites: 2-3 types of seitan stirfry, one inevitably served with cabbage, potatoes, veggie soufflé, croquettes, soy milanesas, Jerusalem couscous, angel hair pasta, but there's also a full salad bar, steamed squash, broccoli and spinach, an eggplant dish, and a delicious coconut cake. The arroz con leche, however, was gross. We'll definitely come again, as long as the subte is still running.
Pros: More Vegetables * Less Fried Food * Not as Salty
Cons: Less Variety * You Feel Almost Guilty Overeating-almost * Slightly out of the Way |

Review: We visited this restaurant end November 2007 and we were really pleased: good food, low prices, nice staff, hard working people: one of the duaghters was studying pharmacy, in the restaurant, keeping an eye on the guests and seeing whether they were OK. Unfortunately: no alcohol, no beer. But, yeah, that has to do with their principles.

Pros: good food * good value * no smoking
Cons: no beer * * |

Review: I have been to Buenos Aires a few times. Sadly I was left eating a lot of pizza and pasta until I came across the Happy Cow website. I found Bodhi listed and gave it a try.
First I want to say the employees were very helpful in explaining everything to me as I had never been there before and have limited Spanish skills. The food was delicious, the prices were insanely low and the staff gets 3 thumbs up for their guidance.
This is a buffet style place and it is all you can eat. When the one person was telling me the price I kept asking "Todo puedo comer???" because I was in disbelief.
I had 2 full plates of food and fresh grapefruit juice for what amounted to $6US. Where I live you would be lucky to get a small sandwich for that price.
Everything there was 100% vegetarian although the rice had egg in it. (I generally do not eat eggs).
If you are a vegetarian in Buenos Aires, forget about the pizza and pasta. If you want something delicious and nutritious, you MUST check this place out!!!!
Pros: Friendly staff * Delicious food * Insanely low prices
Cons: NONE!! * * |
