Ususally hard to find vegan breakfast at a greasy joint, not here!
I love Louis, especially at 5am!!!

I'd disagree with the review saying to disregard this restaurant if you're vegan!...I've been vegan for 15 years and going to Louis for almost as long!...I'd recommend: 1) tofu scramble number 1 with dry italian toast with french fries or soup subsituted for the home fries, 2) spinach or broccoli pie with grilled veggies on top and sauce on the side 3) grits or oatmeal with fresh fruit

Check out the pottery while you're there! Some weird and cool pieces scattered around

Pros: good value, local, weird
Cons: a little bit greasy , sometimes need to add lots of salt

Very cute, but vegans should avoid it

This is a funky little establishment, but avoid it if you're vegan (despite the fact that they have vegan options on the menu). The tofu scramble is just plain, kind of wet tofu with some onions and turmeric for yellow coloring. No spices or seasoning at all. (Gross.) The vegan blueberry pancakes were pretty dry. Sadly, the coffee is pretty weak, too. Maybe it's good for the meat and egg eaters! If you're vegan, try Rasoi's Saturday morning brunch instead.

Pros: cute greasy spoon feel
Cons: very bland food, never refilled coffees
