Review: I visited Boulder for a few days in mid-July with a non-vegan (but mostly plant-based food eating) friend from Michigan, and we loved VG Burgers! We ate there twice, and would have eaten there more but just ran out of time. Between us we had the tempeh & BBQ sauce burger, the black bean burger w/guac, the brat w/sauerkraut and fries, and their corn syrup-free yummy ginger soda. And there was no leaving either time without hemp vanilla & açaí twist ice cream cones! :-) The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful (we even got some great advice for local hikes), and happily answered any and all questions. Yes, it costs more than what you'd pay for typical non-vegan, non-organic fast "food" elsewhere, but while VG Burgers' food is served fast, it isn't by any stretch "fast food." It's healthy, compassionate, organic, nutritious, tasty food served with compost-able dishes, cups, napkins and utensils by a cheerful, friendly staff. Next time I'm in Boulder, VG Burgers is my first stop! I still have more menu items to try, and more hemp ice cream cones with my name on them! :-)

Pros: Entirely vegan * Friendly, happy, helpful staff * Compost-able dishes, etc!
Cons: There isn't one where I live! * *

Review: I've been slowly working my way down VG's menu ever since it moved to the Broadway location. The burgers are really good but I like the Chicken Ranch sandwich the best of all the sandwiches (with the bean burger with guacamole a very close second). The meal deal is a nice value: Any sandwich plus fries and a small soda (agave sweetened) for 10 bucks. The fries are delicious! The seating area is small but there's usually a table available. A beautiful framed print of the planet hangs on the back wall and a variety of music plays at a reasonable decibel. All in all, a very chill place with tasty food and a friendly staff. Definitely will return!

Pros: good food * great staff * music not too loudg
Cons: small seating area * limited menu *

Review: That's all I could say after the first bite of a V G Burger. MMMMMM. Absolutely the best burger I've had, hands down. The fact that it's vegan, and healthy is astounding. The hemp soft-serve ice cream was fabulous, too. I want one of these in my neighborhood! Invest now, folks, this could be the next McDonald's --- only way better!! I can't wait!

Pros: Great Taste * Totally Vegan * Appropriate Portion Size
Cons: None! * *

Review: I stopped in here after hitting up some brews at mountain sun brewery and the food was great. I got the chiken ranch and chili cheese fries. The fries were great. If u've ever had sonic chili cheese fries these are just like 'em. The chiken was good (would have been better with bac'n). If u've ever searched for a vegan ranch and never found it, its awesome to go some where that has it. Their sundaes are even made with vegan whipped cream! The main reason I went here was for the mac and cheese, but no dice! The guy at the counter said they didn't carry it over from the last location. Huge drag, but food still good. I was disappointed that the burger patties were all outsourced. For an idea of cost, I bought the 2 items and the total cost was $15.

Pros: good fast food * deserts *
Cons: no mac & cheese * small menu *

Review: Classic American food that is all vegan and tastes great. The chili with the vegan "cheese" sauce is really good especially over fries or VG dog.

Review: What a relief to walk into a 100% vegan restaurant. I ended up overdoing it with a chilli-cheese dog, mac and cheese, and a hempmilk shake. The fake cheese was so-so, I can make better myself. But, other than that, the food was really good for fast food. The milk shake is not to be missed!

Cons: Location * Price *

Review: I have known about V.G. Burgers for a while, and heard that it was really good. I went to try it today and was so disappointed by the service that I left before I could try the food. There was an overall lack of organization, professionalism, and customer service. I was behind one couple and in front of another, and there were at least three people working behind the counter. At least one person was helping the first couple, and kept saying that they'll be right with me. It took at least five minutes before my order was taken, and then the girl who 'helped' me went off to ring up a guy who was sitting down. (I thought you paid fast food as you got your food, not after you've eaten.) Then she took the order of the couple behind me. Plus, I watched one of the people in front of me walk behind the counter to help herself to something (I hope she was an employee), and another woman reach over the plastic partition to grab a basket (I hope she was an employee, too). I am sorry to say I had a disappointing experience, but am willing to try again later. It probably won't be for a while, though. It also seemed like it was expensive for what they were selling and having everything priced separately.

Pros: * *
Cons: expensive * bad customer service * inexperienced staff

Review: This place has the best menu from chili, mac-n-chreese, to burgers and soft serve dairy-free ice-cream!
What a relief to not have to worry about which items are vegan if the cooking/prep areas are vegan as well.
Thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant and hope that they expand outside of Boulder!

Review: I just tried VG Burger for the first time and it was delicious. I ordered the black bean burger which is topped with salsa and guacamole. I think the guac had a little bit of a kick, which I loved! I got small fries on the side and really liked the seasoning (i'm pretty sure it's just salt but maybe a tiny bit of pepper in there?) and the fact that they're not deep fried.

The #1 downside for me is the price. Just a burger (which was on the small side) and small fry was $9.75, so at that price I won't be able to visit more than a couple times a month. The burger was put in some kind of microwave/convection for a few seconds too long and one edge of it was too crunchy/burnt to eat. While the patty tasted better, it was the same size as a Morningstar black bean burger, which is not worth the $6 price.

Despite those downsides, I loved the flavor and plan on visiting again!

Pros: vegan * fries * good flavor of black bean burger
Cons: PRICE * oven can overcook burger *

Review: I went to V.G. Burgers for the first time today. And was in heaven! I enjoyed the #1 meal with a classic burger, fries and root beer. It was so tasty-I have a feeling this will become a habit.

The customer service was also excellent. When I was finishing my meal, the fellow who fixed my meal (I believe his name was Alex), stopped by my table and asked me about my meal. I mentioned that I would have to try a shake on a warmer day, and he encouraged me to at least sample the "ice cream" before I left. Such service made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Also while it may be a bit pricier than other fast food places, you really are getting what you pay for... sure it was a $10 meal, but they have to make a profit, and judging from the ingredients I have a feeling their margin is rather small. Also, the tall soy chai latte from a certain overpriced chain I got later this evening was $3.52...so it's all relative.

Pros: Friendly Service * Fresh & Fast Food * Everything's Vegan!
Cons: * *

Review: This summer we were visiting friends in Denver (we live in Las Vegas) and my wife/kids wanted organic/veggie fast food. We had seen a newspaper article about VG Burgers in Boulder Colo. and went to check it out. We loved the food so much, we drove from Denver each day to have a late lunch at VG Burger. Everything was absolutley outstanding! Wish that we had one in Las Vegas.

Review: My husband and I hit V.G. Burgers after seeing the listing on this site and loved it! Loved our first visit so much that we went back for a second visit the following day, despite having plenty of time to go to a non-fast food restaurant. Our first day we tried the sunflower burger and the falafel burgers with fries and soda. Their line of organic fountain sodas are amazing and it's so nice to be able to get baked fries. And the burgers were great! The next day, we repeated the falafel burger and fries for my husband, while I tried the black bean burger and a salad. We both got shakes. One with soy milk and one with rice milk. My salad was fresh and crisp and their choice of dressings wonderful. I really wish I'd tried the vegan ranch now that I have read the review below, but my dressing was quite good. The shakes were great. Although the rice milk shake was a bit less smooth than the soy shake, it tasted creamier and more like a real shake. The price is higher than most fast food - about $10 a person, but when you look at the fact that you are getting REAL food, it's quite a bargain. I should also mention that the staff was wonderful. Very friendly and willing to answer any questions. I really hope they are able to get this to take off into franchises so I can visit them wherever I go!

Pros: Great food * Friendly staff * Good value
Cons: none * *

Review: We have been to VG Burgers three times now. Our son LOVES the falafel burgers, and we love the chili and chreese dogs. Mmmmmm, good. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, their shakes are super good. :) We aren't crazy about the burgers in general, they are a bit too mushy for our taste, and the fries are pretty good. Listen up, they have DELICIOUS vegan ranch....I repeat DELICIOUS! They should bottle and sell the stuff!! This place is great but a little too expensive for us. I understand why it's so pricey so only go when you have a little extra cash. :)

Pros: Chili Chreese Dogs * Vegan Ice Cream * Environmentally +++++++++
Cons: Expensive * mushy burgers * not all that fast

Review: VG Burgers is so great! I was visiting from Gainesville, FL a couple of weeks ago and I ate there twice. The burgers are delicious and so was the Chocolate Brownie Almond shake. It made me so happy that everything is biodegradable- even the cups and straws. My recommendation is the falafel burger, but get guac, salsa, veggies, and a drizzle of Goddess dressing on top- and a shake. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Boulder.

Pros: nice staff, great food * wonderful ethics *
Cons: No location in Florida! * Shakes a bit pricey. *

Review: Howdy Happy Cow community!
Let me make a few things clear about VG Burgers..
First off, the individual claiming that they "went through the trash", should consider a few points, 1) VG Burgers shares a building with a Dairy Queen, so the trash may not be "organic and vegan". 2)VG Burgers is a zero waste business that recycles and composts its waste. 3)as far as the "yuck, what you are paying for" bit, I would like to invite ANYONE to come in to our kitchen and take a look at our inventory - $250 buckets of ORGANIC ALMOND BUTTER, $85 cases of ORGANIC TOMATOES, We have gone out on a limb in a big way to bring our customers the FINEST INGREDIENTS possible, our profit margins are as slim as it gets.
Perhaps the VG "STALKER" should try speaking with the owner or one of the managers, any of us would be happy to answer your questions and absolutely love feedback from our customers. And to the VG Stalker - digging through peoples trash is a little creepy - don't you think?
We look forward to serving all of you - and for the record "Don't believe the hype" - VG Burgers ORGANIC FOOD FAST

Pros: atleast 95% ORGANIC * 100% VEGAN / zero waste * 100%wind powered
Cons: not in every town yet! * *

I am so happy this place is opened , and hope to see them in every city!
