First time at Menu Verde. It is self-service style. Two of the three main courses were vegan, and the staff clearly understood what vegan food is.
The food was nourishing, tasty and incredibly good value.
Would recommend if you are in Coimbra.
I am not sure if the staff speak English, I speak Portuguese, but 'Vegan' is generally understood to mean Vegan.

The restaurant is inside the centre Galarias Topazio and you have to go up the stairs to the 2. floor. It is a quiet and clean place - serves simple, not spiced vegetarian food - it is more like a canteen/folks kitchen feeling. Not too suitable for vegans - they make vegan meals on request however.
Pros: very friendly staff, quiet place, cleanNos costo un poco encontrar el sitio, porque este dentro de una galeria comercial un poco escondida. Pero merecio la pena. Almorzamos un menu con arroz integral y verduras muy rico acompañado de un seitan asado delicioso. Pedimos ademas un batido de soja y frambuesas yummmm!
Tienes que especificar que eres vegano.

The restaurant is not too far from the city center. It's at the last floor of a mall. The food was good, I had a really good seitan roast and fresh lemon juice (they have a lot of choices). They didn't speak English but it wasn't a problem at all. I strongly recommend it!!!
