Best buffet in London!

5 Posted on 06 / 27 / 2012

Qing has the biggest vegan buffet in London. The variety is enormous. One cold buffet with salad, one warm buffet with noodles and soja and some fried tofu and spring rolls.

The service is very friendly and the location is comfortable.

If you are vegan - that's your place !

Pros: Friendly Service, High variety, High quality

Great little place

Found this place via the Happy Cow app and was pleasantly surprised. Pretty much everything was vegan and even though a few dishes tasted pretty much the same, for the location and price you really can't fault it and everything did taste really good and fresh. We came rolling out all fat and happy. Will definitely go again and probably make it a regular thing whenever we visit Camden.

One little piece of advice. The menu says green tea with free refills, which we expected to be along the lines of other Asian restaurants, but what they actually mean is free refills of boiling water to your one teabag. We took ours out the cup and then almost got charged again.

Pros: Good location, good value, Nice that pretty much everything was vegan
Cons: Some of the dishes taste the same

Random tasty find

5 Posted on 02 / 12 / 2012

While visiting London, this little place was discovered quite by accident. I had originally set out to find another place listed on Happy Cow, but was delighted to find this gem.

The prices were good. It was under £15 for two people, which seems very reasonable from my visit to London. The selection was good and all the dishes were being filled as patrons went back for more portions. There were many soya meat options, but also plenty of options without mock meat. I especially like the steamed broccoli and dumplings.

The staff was very friendly and even offered a banana dessert to my friend's daughter, on the house.

Pros: Location, Selection, Price
Cons: Fake Shrimp

chinese thai buffet

5 Posted on 06 / 12 / 2011

Ignore the arrow on the happy cow map! It's the camden end of kentish town road, opposite the station.
Signs just say vegetarian buffet.
Great choice of Thai and Chinese dishes, lots with fake meat or tofu. Just like Thais used to to. Very good value food and drinks.
Staff were very friendly.

Pros: range of veg starters and mains, lots fake meat dishes, value
Cons: if u don't like fake meat, u won't like it!, would've liked some steamed rice with it too

Cheap, vegan, all-you-can-eat. Bish bash bosh!

Tai buffet is one of my staple eating places. I won't say it's a resturant, because it's not. It's a place where an extensive selection of vegan "meats" and deep fried snack foods are piled up, ready for you to load onto your plate for less than the price of a Travelcard. Wash it all down with as much green tea as you can stomach then waddle home feeling like you've just snogged your mate's boyfriend but it felt soooooo good.

Pros: Cheap, Wide selection, Portions as big as they get
Cons: Not the healthiest option

Average buffet place

Yes, it's another one of those run of the mill buffet places that you find ubiquitously situated throughout London. Pretty good value, but the food does all taste the same, and somehow, inexplicably, a bit "wrong." Can't explain that any better! All you can eat for about £6, so can't complain about the value.

Pros: Cheap, Well located
Cons: Average to poor food, Atmosphere
