Review: i really love this place, it is like stepping back in time to the 1970's (in a good way, very folksy interior and really good salads, soups etc.

Review: It doesn't seem to be good for vegans, though I've never been past looking at the menu outside. Maybe they're ok if you ask? Brilliant shop though, especially for alternative therapy supplies (herbs etc)

Review: Hidden away near the Connexions office, next door to the (wonderful) Pot Pouri shop is The Good Earth. It is a beautiful place, with an amazing atmosphere, but you have to go up some narrow, steep stairs to get in - NOT disabled friendly.
However, the food is really nice, with a selection of salads/hot meals on the counter and soup if you ask for it. The staff are helpful and the drinks are cheap and very nice. The food IS expensive but very, very nice. (approx £3 for -big- plate of salad). A tempting selection of cakes by the cash register, but they're quite expensive and contain a lot of nuts.
Smoking upstairs, non-smoking downstairs.
I highly recommend this for the atmosphere, but the food is great too!
Pros: nice staff * beautiful decor * amazing food
Cons: quite expensive * one toilet * not disabled friendly |
