Everytime I'm in Kiel i go to the Subrosa. It's one of the best places I know. They have a perfect menu and every dish is better than the other!
The salad side-dish is the best I've ever seen. Sometimes they even put Pine nuts into it.

Sometimes you have to wait a little bit but it is still the best place in Kiel.

I love going to this place, because it's cheap and you get a lot of great food. It has a nice alternative (read: punk) atmosphere and it just makes you feel comfortable.
It's great to have a plce like this where you just can go out for dinner if you're too exhausted to cook.

If you find yourself in Kiel you can't afford to miss this one

Honestly, I've never been to a better place than the SUBROSA! And I've seen a lot of awesome places (e.g. in Prague, Budapest, Berlin, Vienna, Copenhagen, Cologne, Barcelona). The staff is super-nice, the food tastes awesome, the portions are huge and the prices are fair. The TRS (tofu-rice-spinach burgers) are one of the greatest dishes I've ever had. You can get almost all of the dishes vegan so i had a huge problem to make a choice between many of the tasty dishes.
It's the #1 vegan/vegetarian place in Kiel and I've really never seen anything comparable to the Subrosa anywhere else. If you have the chance to try out the Subrosa, do so!

Ich (Veganerin) war mit meiner Mutter (Vegetarierin) und ihrem Freund (Fleischesser) in Kiel im Subrosa. Wir machten Urlaub in der Nuhe und haben das Restaurant ganze zwei Mal besuch: Zum einen zum Brunchen, das ist immer am 2. Sonntag im Monat. Als ich den Kellner fragte, was vegan ist, meinte dieser: "Bis auf die Quarkbrotchen und die Kuseplatte alles!" Und es war wirklich eine Menge Auswahl da, hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Also beschlossen wir, noch einmal wiederzukommen, und zu Abend dort zu essen. Auch damit waren wir ausserst zufrieden, man kann so gut wie alle Gerichte vegan bestellen! Ich würde also auf jeden Fall noch einmal hingehen, wenn ich dort in der Nuhe bin!
