Review: If there was a restaurant that was able to stand on one aspect alone, then that would be this one. The only aspect that this restaurant has going for it is the food... everything else - service, decor, atmosphere, dinnerware, seating, music, ambience, paintings and anything else you can think of - is lacking badly. Food is served in cheap foam plates. Cutlery is all plastic, cups are cheap plastic, tables, chairs are cheap cheap cheap. But once you look past all these, and focus on what a restaurant is really all about - quality of food - this comes out with a A+ grade. Food tastes authentic, prepared in a clean kitchen, with good ingredients. Add to that, a pure vegetarian restaurant, a rarity in these parts, makes this place worth visiting.
Pros: Good Food * Reasonable price *
Cons: Not enough space can get crowded * decor * self service |

Review: This is the best indian restaurants I've ever eaten at and I've eaten at many. They an dizzying selection of food with absolutely fantastic masala dosa, uthapum as well as many other south indian specialties. The prices are also very reasonable! They also have some great north indian dishes like aloo gobi ect. There baigan bartha(eggplant) is the best I've had anywhere. The decor is not great, but I could careless about that personally. The food is fantastic and thats what counts. You serve yourself at this restaurant, which is probably why its so affordable. Highly recommened.
Pros: Delicious * affordable *
Cons: * * |

Review: This 100 percent vegetarian south Indian cuisine is incredibly delicious. We especially love Chana Batura (curried chickpeas served with a gigantic hollow bread), mixed vegetable pakora (potatoes, cauliflower, onion, eggplant and chillies, deep fried with spices), and masala dosa (crispy crepes filled with perfectly seasoned potatoes and onions). Everything, in fact, is so delicious that there really isn't the space here to list them all. Most of the yummy choices are vegan and the friendly and knowledgable folks behind the counter will glady advise you. The prices are extremely reasonable, making this a fantastic value. Almost all of the clientele are Indian, who are as friendly as the staff, and many of the women diners stroll in wrapped in colorful saris, drenching it in authentic Indian atmosphere; we often feel as if we are eating in India!
Pros: great food * fantastic value * authentic atmosphere
Cons: none at all * * |
