Review: I was just in Panama City this past week and we loved this restaurant as vegans. The owner/chef speaks English and we had the string bean/potato soup (SO GOOD) and a curried zucchini with potatoes and an eggplant with tomato sauce (the eggplant dish was not on the menu but the chef offered to make it for us knowing we were vegan). The blackberry juice and antioxidant shake were also really good! I would give this place 5 stars but there weren't enough vegan options to return a second time and there aren't many vegetarian places in panama city.

Pros: Delicious vegan food * Clean * Good sized portion
Cons: Only a few vegan items * *

Review: This wonderful restaurant named in honor of Beethoven's symphony (the 9th) is located on the delightful street Via Argentina in Panama City. Inside, the place is clean, bright, colorful and original artwork decorates the walls. There is an open kitchen, so you can watch the chefs at work. The meals are tasty. I ate the vegetarian lasagna one night and the potato-spinach casserole the other and highly recommend both dishes. The dishes are also affordable (about $6 each). The owner/chef, Arturo Smith, is a knowledgeable Beethoven fan. The restaurant always plays Beethoven's music and stocks a sizable collection of Beethoven biographies (as well as chemistry texts in German!) A very charming, esoteric gem for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. Please visit and support this great restaurant!

Review: The food is fresh and made to order. Be prepared to wait for a short while as this is not thrown together and put in a microwave, but it will be worth every minute. Quality ingredients and excellent service, with very good English both on menu and spoken by the Owner.

With a non Veggie who also loved the food here and actually sought the restaurant out after a visit earlier this year. We will be back to sample more of the fresh fruit shakes and excellent quality fresh food.

After living of a diet of fast fried food in TGI Fridays this was an absolute joy.

Pros: Excellent fresh food * Very reasonably priced * Friendly helpful staff
Cons: None that I found! * *

Review: After two weeks in Panama, it was great to find a Vegetarian restaurant (and so close to our hotel) in Panama City. And the best part -- the food was great! Fresh, healthy and delicious. Save room for dessert. I just found this review online too: http://www.thepanamanews.com/pn/v_12/issue_11/dining_01.html

Pros: excellent food * healthy cuisine * friendly

Review: I went there 3 times this week. While each time the food was tasty, there was a complete lack of protein every time. Most vegetarian restaurants add tofu or gluten to meals for the protein component, but not here. Today it was pasta salad (with a sprinkle of cheese which did provide some protein), a bowl of soup, and juice (the waitress confirmed that the juices are from concentrate). Another day it was Paella (a lot of rice with few vegetables). US$5 gets you the meal of the day. I really can't recommend this restaurant... sorry. I had cheaper more balanced meals elsewhere while in Panama City.

Pros: Nice atmosphere * Tasty food * Friendly service
Cons: Refined rice and pasta * Lack of protein in meals * Priced high for Panama
