Review: This place has a nice setting by the river a little out of Hoi An on the way to the tourist beach which is good but the important part is the food. The food I found OK; some healthy options, a little bland, a little overpriced and the service was not very welcoming at all. I went back twice because I like to support totally veg places more than veg/non-veg ones, however, I have found some of the veg/non-veg places to serve the same standard of food at a much better price.
Pros: some healthy options * nice enough setting *
Cons: ufriendly service * overpriced * |

Review: During our time in Hoi An we've become regulars at this place. The setting is amazing- a decked area looking out over the river, we've spent hours relaxing and enjoying watching the world go by.
The food is very tasty and healthy. There are meal options to suit every budget from 10,000d (less than a dollar)for traditional Vietnamese rice and veg meal to 250,000d for a huge tasty hot pot for 4 people. I'd really recommend opting for the big hot pot for a treat if there's a few of you, it's well worth it.
What really makes this place though is the owner and the staff. They are all very friendly, and chatting to Paul is always inspirational, he's a very interesting chap.
They also run boat tours and do kayak hire and snorkling.
Pros: great setting * generous portions * amazing people
Cons: * * |

Review: I don't normally sound so gushing but our day at Cua Dai Beach and visiting Karma Waters on the way back was magical. Paul is a fantastic host with wonderful friendly staff. My husband had the set lunch (which by the way has gone up to 120,000vnd, but still worth it for the amount of dishes you get) and I had a mushroom/tofu dish, the textures of which was divine. This restaurant is more than just a pretty setting. We sat there for a couple of hours soaking it all in and left feeling satisfied but full of energy for the 5km walk back to Hoi An. You can tell they don't use MSG, the flavours of all the ingredients are recognisable.
Pros: extremely friendly staff * tasty food * beautiful setting
Cons: more expensive than other veggie places * * |

Review: This entirely vegan place boasts a fantastic scenic location on the river near Cua Dai beach. The generous portions of food are delicious, and the owners have gone to considerable effort to develop a very health conscious menu. They avoid MSG like the plague and aren't heavy handed with the flavours, so you can actually taste the veggies in your meal. Definitely something different to standard vegetarian Vietnamese fare and well worth repeat visits. Prices were fairly high compared with other veg establishments throughout Vietnam, but the portion sizes are good.
Pros: Healthy, tasty food * All vegan * Lovely setting
Cons: A little pricey by Vietnam standards * Bit of a hike from Hoi An * |

Review: karma waters is a wonderful little restaurant/boat yard close to the beach in Hoian. The food is spectacular and consistantly superior. Paul and his wife run this small shop which is right on the water. It is stricktly vegan and they have recipies that they have discoverd in their explorations of S.E. Asia. They also have the coldest beer in town. Something that can be difficult to find in Vietnam.
Pros: Great food * great location * water front, boats for hi
Cons: none that I could see. * * |

Review: This place is outta town, near the beach. We used the opportunity to get some afternoon excersise (50 minute power walk from town), but you can take a motorbike for $1. Its set on the water in a lovely little location. The food was nice, and reasonably priced most dishes are around 40,000 dong with rice. The fresh spring rolls (40,000 dong) were very nice and came out as a plate of fried tofu and mushroom, a plate of fresh mint, rice paper and a bean dipping sauce ready to roll-your-own. We made about 20 of them! We also had the vegie curry and spicy fried tofu which were ok. The red rice was tasty for something different. The food is nice but its the location that really makes this place.
Pros: Beautiful setting * *
Cons: Out of town * * |

Review: I have been vego for 27 years and this is the best vego food I've eaten in a restaurant. The owners are genuine people and the setting peaceful and tranquil. My wife who was part vego has now been converted to 100% vego thanks to the Karma Waters experience and the way it makes her feel. My 2 vego daughters also loved it. A must visit place.

Review: It's a relaxing and spotless place. The food is not the usual stoggy rubbish you get around asia. It's light, fresh and inventive. I was staying in the town and this place is near the beach so I didn't get to it as much as I wanted to. It is definitely worth a visit. The owner is vegan.
Pros: Great food * Quiet * Nice staff
Cons: Out of town * * |
