Review: I have eaten here a couple of times and found it to be excellent! I ate at the lunch buffet and found it to be pretty good! The best thing was that the waiter comes around and takes your order for a Dosa (which is like a filled pancakey-crepey thing--I got it filled with potatoes). It was delicious! The place was pretty empty both times I went in, but don't let that bother you. The food was good and it was clean. The staff is kind of quiet and reserved, but nice. I highly recommend it.
Pros: Dosas! * buffet! * quiet, not crowded
Cons: * * |

Review: On my first trip to Uduppi Dosa House, I had never tried Indian food before. I'm pretty open minded when it comes to non-meat items, so I decided to try it..pretty much because it had "Vegetarian" right on the sign. Since my first trip, I've been back several times and each time I visit the restaurant is clean, the staff is SO friendly and attentive. They never let your drinks go without being refilled and it seems they really take care while serving you. Okay..but on to the food. It is SOOOOOOOO good. I never knew I'd like Indian food so much. There is some dish...I can't remember the name but it has Cauliflower and might be called Masala Dosa. It is my favorite and a pretty safe bet if you've never had Indian food before. Make sure to order some bread (there's a really big puffy one that's good) and try a Mango Lassi if you eat dairy. The vegetable kanish(sp?) were awesome as well. I think they also have certain nights and afternoons where there's a buffet, which is cool especially if you're not familiar with the names of their foods. All items are not vegan but they seem pretty knowledgable as far as what contains dairy. Overall, don't pass this place up...even if you're not vegetarian or not sure if you'll like Indian food!
Pros: delicious authentic food * service * cleanliness
Cons: menu can be confusing * * |
