Posted on 10 / 24 / 2012The San Luis Obispo downtown Thursday evening Farmers Market is really more of a block party, and truthfully, it is really geared to and promoting - yikes.....BarBeCue.....aaarrrrggghhh.
It's true, there is some kind of history in the town with barbecue, I wasn't listening much when the local I queried about the number of flesh fires excitedly explained. But, this is still a fun event. A Band, non-profit groups, lots of food vendors beyond the barbecue folks, even a few veggie and one or two vegan items available, but you have to hunt for them. Also, farmers, though they seemed to be outnumbered by the info, food vendor, and Cal-Poly booths.
I've yet to go to the Saturday FM. Next time i'm in town.
