	Review: As stated in the previous review, the restaurant setting is special, with a lot of character. Had some trouble deciding between the two daily specials, since they were both appealing. In the end, we were happy with our choices. Both the food and service were good. Also nice was the diversity of clientele--families with small children, tourists, hippies.   Pros: architecture & decor * decaf & "bambu" coffee * Cons: no alcohol-free fondue * *

"Wonderful dinner"   My Rating

	Review: The staff were kind but not very alert. We were early but still had to wait quite some time before we could order. This gave us ample time too look at the beautiful interior with the original tiling and woodwork. A recurring theme in the decoration are lizards; "hagedis" is Dutch for lizard. The name is probably also wordplay on "The Hague" and "dish". The menu mainly offers a choice of several pasta dishes, cheese fondues and both a dish and a special for the day. There are several vegan options too. For drinks the most common alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available. We took pumpkin/curry soup and farmers' bread for starters, which we enjoyed very much. We continued with the special, a filled zucchini with fried potatoes and carrots, joined by a fresh salad. The parts as well as the combination proved to be delicious. For dessert we split: apple cake and chocolate cake; both were served with some icecream and tasted great: rich but not overpowering.
