Review: visited what i think is the main location downtown... there were several cockroaches on the floor (although as long as they dont crawl on me they dont bother me, but they do most people), the menu is minuscule (pizza, lasagna, spaghetti, a few sandwiches and maybe a couple other things) i am vegan and was put off that almost everything on the menu included cheese. their only soup of the day was a creme soup, i asked in spanish not to have cheese on my sandwich, it still came with cheese, the menu also did not note that the sandwich came with mayo and ketchup (although i guess i should have known about the ketchup), both of which i dont eat. they said their veggie burgers are vegan but i doubt it, and it seemed the toasted buns for the sandwhiches were also slightly buttered. so unless you are a vegetarian and love cheese on everything, or really really really need a veggie burger or faux ham sandwich, stay away. i have been to veggie places in 18 different countries, and i know its costa rica and not nyc, but this is by far the worst place i have visited and i am usually very east to please.

Pros: good faux ham * okay juice *
Cons: everything chees * few choices * dirty

Review: this reminded me of little veg places in India - and maybe because of the name ": ) good daily plate with rice and soup, salad and some fruit. I loved my veggie burger.. after weeks of rice and beans.. it was a welcome treat. try the ginger ice tea - AMAZING!!

Pros: cheap and fast * pretty delicious food * one of the only places to get veg!
Cons: noisy * fast food restauarant atmosphere * not much variety

Review: Often found myself heading to Vishnu for a hearty veggie meal during a month long stay in San Jose. Great, friendly atmosphere, easy image-based menu, lots of choice and creativity. Cheap too. I don't go a bundle myself on meat-like soya which is the basis of some of the burgers, but it's great if you're hungry and there's loads of other choice anyway.

Pros: 100% veggie * substantial portions * pictorial menu
Cons: * *

Review: We ate ar Vushnu in the food court. We had the soup special, which consisted of soup, beans, rice, some soy, potato, cooked fruit and some kind of ultra-sweet, vile orange drink, which we left. This was very mediocre fast food, and I wouldnt recommend it unless you have no other options. The attendent behind the counter spoke no English, whioh made communication rather difficult. though there were pictures of the food.

Pros: cheap and filling * convenient location * strictly veggie
Cons: mediocre food * no English spoken * mall atmosphere
