Review: Well, it's "vegi-friendly", but not VEGETARIAN/VEGAN!
Almost every restaurant in Bulgaria offers enough vegetarian and even some vegan cuisine, but we don't consider them all vegetarian! ;-)

Review: If you can call this one vegetarian any mcdonald's would do- they all serve chips, right? I miss a good Govinda's or the old Veggie Home.

Review: If you need a restaurant to eat in while in Sofia with a friend who refuses to eat vegetarian then this joint would be an excellent choice.
An upmarket restaurant with imaginative offerings on the menu with helpful staff. All dishes were vegetarian apart from 2 meat dishes (1 fish and 1 chicken dish). Offerings included:-
* Puree of spinach and lentil soup with polenta croutons
* Tofu in Asian sauce with vegetables, mushrooms and cashews
* Shittake mushrooms in curry sauce and baked veg and cumin
All main courses were under 11 lev. The soya capuccino was also very pleasant as was the complimentary pureed melon that I was given as a small apetiser.
Nice toilets also.
Pros: Vegan veggie friendly * Great food * Central location
Cons: Not 100% vegetarian * * |

Review: Kibea has all-organic gourmet dishes (almost all vegetarian, and with vegan ones clearly labeled) in a peaceful, upscale environment. They also have a great wine list. It can be difficult to find, since the street it is on does not have a street sign, but it's one block south of solounska between hristo belchev and angel kanchev. I took a number of meat-eaters here and they all raved about the cuisine. It is also the only non-smoking restaurant I saw in Bulgaria.

Cons: * * |
