Review: I went to Green Way Bar once with a friend and wasn't disappointed. The food was lovely. I had samosas with a vegetable sauce and a salad with dill sauce as well as a fresh orange juice and paid 18,50 sloty - not bad for a good fresh meal.
My friend tried the gulash which was nice as well (see pictures).
The staff seemed to be quite busy and wasn't as helpful as I would have wished but on request pointed out what was vegan on the menu - unfortunately the number of vegan options was quite limited. Out of the whole menu maybe five dishes (not more than 10%) were vegan or could be made vegan. There was a vegan cake as well we were too full to try (apple cake).
I liked the mix of different people coming to eat at Green Way Bar and would definitely recommend going there.
Pros: decent price * tasty food * good location
Cons: few vegan options * * |

Review: Bright, cheap and cheerful with tables on two levels. Studenty clientele no doubt attracted by the nice atmosphere and wholesome food. Lots of things on the menu and we plumped for a couple things on the basis of them being the only things we recognised (spinach lasagne and dhal curry). It turned out that they did have an English menu but you had to ask! Food was nice and portions generous. We worked out that, with cold drinks and coffees to follow the whole meal cost about £9. Toilets are downstairs through the pub.
Pros: Good, healthy portions * Great value *
Cons: * * |

Review: Stopped here on our first day in Krakow, for some much needed food. As like the Vega restaurants in Krakow, this is self service. You order at the counter and pick up your food when called and then return the plates back to the hatch.
It can get very busy and you have to grab a table if you see one. The as good as the Vega restaurant we went too, but it's not the sort place you would go to, if you wanted a romantic dinner.
One minute from the main square and cheap as chips :P
Pros: Cheap * Good food * Central
Cons: * * |

Review: My husband (carnivore) & I (long-term vegetarian) - aged in our mid-30s - visited here once in Oct 2008 during a holiday to Krakow from the UK. There are a range of hot & cold food options, from snacks to more substantial meals. We felt that there was NOT a good range of fresh foods or salads, there was a lot of pickled-tasting food which we had difficulty adjusting to (but would be fine for those who like this or want more authentically Polish-tasting dishes), plus the "pretend meat" type of food which we don't particularly enjoy - it didn't really suit our taste buds. The venue had a 'fast food', mass-catering (eg university canteen) type of feel to it - when the food was served, I had a deja-vu from 15 years ago at uni. [We also happened to visit Chimera during our stay in Krakow which was more suited to our taste, and had plenty of fresh food and salads, healthy options, and better atmosphere in terms of what we were looking for. Each of these two venues probably suit a different type of customer market.]
Pros: Good range of meal types * *
Cons: Poor range of fresh foods/salads * Fast food, not-so-healthy options * |

Review: Good location from main square. Fantastic range and the portion sizes were very generous. The prices were ridiculously cheap in comparison to the amount of food on the plates!
Pros: Good range * Very cheap *
Cons: No toilets in the restaurant * * |

Review: I only went here once. I tried the lasagna with spinach and tomatoes, which was absolutely delicous! It was very busy inside, but I managed to squeeze in on one of the tables. Their menu is very cheap, certainly when you consider their location.
Pros: Delicious pasta * Very cheap *
Cons: Busy * * |

Review: not great vegetarian food, OK if in a rush. Hard on the stomach. Not alot of thought goes into this cooking. It is Polish cooking vegetarian style. I don't eat there unless no other option. A friend worked at the one in Warsaw and said they do not use organic produce. But it fills the gap and supplies students with cheap vegetarian fare. Not for the longtime vegetarian who cooks great!
Pros: fast * no smoking * good location close to rynek
Cons: no taste * no creative energy * |

Review: I've been twice now and may go again later. Pretty busy place for mid afternoon but the location (Just off the main square behind the big cathedral / church) probably has a lot to do with that. It's a queue up at the counter place. The lentil and vegetable soup is excellent, very hearty. The goulash is quite fantastic. For me as a vegan there was no problem getting a few dishes to choose from (but not as many as Momo does by any means). Good value for money like all the veg*n restaurants here seem to be. Good portions also. Very tempted to give 5 out of 5 below.
Pros: Great location * great food * great value
Cons: None * * |

Review: great place, vegan-friendly staff and great value/choice of menu. I had a lovely fajita and some juice for cheap, a nice place to eat and centrally located.
highlights of my visit inlcuded:
-my mate standing up excitedly when the food arrived and giving his head a tremendous whack on the low exposed beam. how we chorlted.
-meeting some americans who set us straight on what most of the US think of george w bush and his wars. shame it wasn't reflected in the polls.
Pros: open 'til 2200 * good value * good vegan choice
Cons: no alcohol * * |
