So, first day in KL and this was the only place I was sure I could find. It's located in a food court, so the carnivorous partner was able to go get something foul without my complaining about lack of options.

As I approached the stand, a particular dish was recommended to me, before I'd even said anything. "Does that contain egg?" "Ah, yes. Sorry. Do you like spicy food?" "Oh yes!" At which point the curry set meal was recommended to me.

It was an interesting combination. A mixed vegetable and tofu curry in classic Malaysian style, accompanied with a delicious brown rice and grains mixture, pickles and a really odd soup. The soup was a delicate one like a very weak konbu dashi, with some pepper. Carrots provided the only substance to it. Odd, but very palate clearing. The curry was substantial, chock full of interesting stuff and nice and spicy. Himself appeared to be eyeing it up jealously.

Pros: Great location, Tasty food, Helpful staff
Cons: Loud environment, Not for a romantic date!

Simple and clean healthy combinations. Minus: there is no fresh (I mean raw) options in the menu. The mint soup is strange, but tasty.

great food mostly vegan

This is a slice of heaven in what can be a very meat, dairy centric country. Every dish so far that we've tried has been fantastic and while it is a little more expensive than the stalls around it is nice to be confident in knowing you are getting a vegan meal when ordered.

Pros: fresh, clean, yummy

Excellent little food stall within the KLCC mall

If you are looking to find some excellent vegan asian food and want to spend the day shopping then head over to the KLCC shopping mall. This is the designer mall at the bottom of the Petronas Twin towers.

When you need nourishment, and you want it fast, just head to the food court on Level 2. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, willing to change contents of dish or spice levels, add more tofu, and answer a hundred questions about the ingredients.

Very very tasty food, presented well, fast and costing very little money, topped off with friendly service....without having to leave the shopping mall.

Pros: Fast and inexpensive, Tasty healthy food, Shopping
Cons: No excuse to leave the mall

Set curry pot-One rice with soup and cold vegetable. Taste is so so. The price is 12.90. Variety with taro , pumpkin, and tofu. Rice with bean and sesame.
