VERY happy to find this place

Vegetarian sarrapoa (steamed buns) that are not sweet are very difficult to find in Chiang Mai, so thanks to Happy Cow for leading me to this place. It is a real find with a number of different varieties. The map is a little confusing though as the shop is right on the corner of soi Arak and the moat road. Be a little careful as I asked if they had vegetarian steamed buns in Thai and one worker said no. However, another one corrected her and showed me where they were located. I had thought that I was in the wrong place and almost left. (The ones with meat look quite tempting too).

Pros: clean, lots of choices, pleasant staff

having always wanted to eat steamed buns, this was a great intro
as the listing says, all well labelled, in both thai and english. very helpful staff
loved the flavours of the mixed mushroom especially, wasn't wild about some of the rest but v grateful to have the opportunity

Great Steamed Vegan Buns

Just opened. Very clean. Vegan Buns are kept in a different case from buns that contain animal flesh. All buns are labelled with English and Thai cards. Just point at the buns you want and they are steamed up for 5 minutes. Eat there or take away. A couple of very basic tables. They don't serve any drinks and unfortunately don't offer any sauce for the buns (soy, garlic chilli oil etc). Immaculately clean with very nice friendly staff and owner.

Very easy to find facing the moat with a large picture banner of a steamed bun on top of the building.

Pros: Delicious, Vegan, best selection of buns in chang mai
Cons: No sauces
