Great little place!
Posted on 09 / 25 / 2012This is one of the best restaurants in Cape. It is owned and run by one man, who is very friendly. He likes to talk to everyone that comes by. Since it is run by one man, service can be a bit slow when he is busy, but it is worth it. It is not uncommon to come by and be the only customers in the restaurant, but that is no reflection on the quality of the food. You need to ask for the hummus to be made without yogurt for it to be vegan, and it's great hummus. The baba ganoush is disappointingly NOT vegan. I usually get the grape leaves appetizer (yalangi) with the exotic salad, and it's delicious. My boyfriend usually gets the falafel pocket, and that's very good too. Make sure to ask for the vegan sauce on that instead of the usual. Vegetarians have plenty to choose from. Since meat is also served, it's a good place to go to with a mixed group. The food quality is much better than the other mediterranean restaurant in Cape. Hookahs are also available for rental, but they are in a back room, so if you are just going to eat you won't smell any smoke.
The sign is a little hard to see from the street because it is only on the window, but if you are looking for it you can find it!
Pros: Vegan options (hard to find in Cape), Friendly management, Great foodCons: Slow service (at times), Short hours
