Review: I've been eating here occasionally for several years--and sometimes I really enjoy the food here, but other times I leave quite disappointed (I consider this to be about 2 1/2 stars--I'll be generous and give 3 instead of 2 in the "overall rating"). First of all, the food is indeed very authentic (and I've been to India)--but not always in a good way (sometimes it tastes more like food you'd get at a train station than in a nicer restaurant in India). But--this buffet has a very large selection of vegetarian food and often stuff you don't see often in US Indian restaurants (like the often served bitter melon curry--though certainly an acquired taste!). I love it when they have the bhindi masala (okra), which is often, and their pickles are to die for! They have a lot of desserts in their buffet, including fresh fruit. However, the freshness of their food is variable, and sometimes the food that's supposed to be hot is not served hot enough. If you're someone who eats Indian food regularly, like me, this is a decent place once in awhile, but if you're looking to introduce friends to vegetarian Indian food, you'd more likely convince them that this cuisine is one of the best in the world at nearby Madras or Surati Farsan!
Pros: authentic * large buffet * great pickles
Cons: very inconsistent quality * food can go cold in buffet * could be a little bit cleaner |

Review: I ate consistently at this buffet for over one year, and would at times bring friends. We would always get sleepy after eating. I think they would use food from the market section that had gone stale. It tasted good, but not full of nutrition. Plus, the price for the buffet has gone up to $8.99 during the week, and more on the weekends. They have also sectioned off the large eating area. And yes, Mr. Singh with the turban still brings the naan to your table!!
