Good option at night, Vietnam style

4 Posted on 03 / 06 / 2013

A nice place, quiet at night. The best veg*n option at night in Vientiane in my opinion. There's lots to choose from on the menu, including plenty of interesting Vietnamese dishes. I went twice and tried the pho soup, which was nice and the Vietnamese stuffed bitter melon soup, which was tasty and interesting.

The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere with colourful decorations and lots of photos of a happy monk called Master Ruma. Prices are inexpensive, ranging from 15,000 to 25,000 kip.

Pros: Vietnamese dishes, Open at night

i just tried the buffet, which is cheap 25.000 but the taste is not the best, imo to much salt/say sauce.

Pros: cheap, friendly staff
Cons: not , to much salt/soy sauce

Cheap and worth the little walk to get here. 10 minutes walk from the center or 10000 kip tuk tuk. Good food and very cheap.

Buddhists vegetarian in Vientiane

5 Posted on 09 / 04 / 2011

Nice, clean, great service and friendly staff. It all vegetarian and offers beautiful mock meat meals. Place ran by a buddhist family honoring a local guru. Offers tasty traditional pho Vietnamese dishes and sizeable! Just 5 minutes from Ventiane central touristy spot. They aren't overly busy probably as local folks view this kind of restaurant as specialty food and only important on religious days when they must refrain from eating meat. Big place, many fans and table, very clean and organized with a small section outside.

Pros: excellent food, healthy cuisine, good value
Cons: relatively unknown to travelers
