Serves meat, veg options available. This is a hamburger/hotdog joint that will happily make all menu items with a veggie burger or veggie dog at no additional cost. There are also vegetarian and vegan sandwiches on the menu. They also offer vegetarian chili and vegan cheese options. Everything on the menu can be made vegetarian and most can be vegan, except items with bacon. The atmosphere is eclectic and fun with live music on the weekends. Outdoor seating and a very friendly waitstaff make it one of the favorites in Bastrop. Price: Inexpensive more-less

My favorite place in Bastrop!

I love Tommy Gunns! We were thrilled to run across it and find you can get almost anything on the menu vegetarian, even the chili dogs. Our favorite is the Twiggy Dog, a veggie hot dog with cucumber, tomato, and lots of other goodness. The atmosphere feels like South Austin without the parking problems. They have some yummy and healthy choices, but they also have great fried pickles. I only gave it 4 stars because that's the highest a non-veg restaurant is allowed to get. But a great place that caters to veggies out here in Bastrop deserves 5 stars!

Pros: great food, great atmosphere and staff, absolutely veggie friendly
Cons: slightly limited hours, call first
