Rumors Vegetarian Cafe and Bar

Overall rating: 2.0 stars 1 Reviews
Serves meat, veg options available. Was a small restaurant in the Woburn Bay area of Grenada and relocated to a takeaway hut just outside St Georges University among a group of takeaways which also includes a smoothie/juice bar. To find it follow the signs to the True Blue Resort area (near airport) and then to the university. It is located on the corner opposite the small animal hospital of the university. Although it is called a vegetarian cafe, like almost all veggie places in the Caribbean, it also offers fish. Price: Inexpensive more-less

Veggie cafe / take-away

Despite having the climate to grow delicious veggies, the Caribbean isn't an easy place to be veggie - unless you are one of those who says "oh, yeah, I also eat fish"!
Going self-catering is our best advice to vegans or veggies heading to Grenada.
Anyhway, this cafe had quite a lot of fish dishes, which was a shame because their Caribbean veggie snacks such as roti stuffed with veggie curry or pita bread with chick pea and tofu curry were very nice and a reaonable price.

Pros: good flavoursome food, easy to find
Cons: fish dishes, seating by road to uni
