The items that are vegan, while not labeled except for the gluten-free vegan cupcakes (a few of the several flavors), are consistent. The mini cupcakes are vegan, the sweet/breakfast breads (banana, etc), the cookies, and the muffins I believe. Oh, and the mini pies. You should go there and special order a mini cherry pie. Trust me. Flavors rotate, but I live for the days when they have mini butterscotch and mini pineapple upside down cupcakes.

The counter is usually staffed by the older gentleman (owner and baker's father) and a rotation of younger guys. The younger guys don't necessarily know which items are vegan with good accuracy (some non-vegan cupcake was accidentally consumed by a vegan I know...)

Pros: friendly, delicious, affordable
Cons: flavors rotate, no vegan labels

They aren't completely vegan, but the vegan items are tasty! Try there mini-cupcakes. I do wish the larger cupcakes were vegan.

Pros: friendly staff, good value, cute space
Cons: not everything vegan

The owner, head baker, is vegan herself because of allergies. I have been a customer since they first opened. In the beginning, Sweet Cakes labeled everything that was vegan, but apparently that scared customers off. Silly, right? Just ask one of the helpful employees what is vegan and you will be hooked up. All the mini cupcakes are vegan. The chocolate chip cookies are vegan and super delicious. They also serve Rishi Tea here, which is great and satisfying tea.

Pros: lots of vegan goodies, family-owned and operated, reasonably priced
Cons: closed monday!, vegan items not labeled

Has vegan options

Sweet Cakes has many vegan options, baked goods, etc. It feels like the "vegan options" part is a big secret because they don't advertise vegan anywhere, but either way I'm glad I found this place. The little vegan cupcakes are great, but sometimes the cake part is a little dry. I also wish they were a little bigger too, but I guess it's better to have portion control right? It's definitely worth checking out if your near it.
