Good to see veg selections, but......

Looking for an elegant dining experience? This ain't it. The food isn't bad-- but I can't go so far as to call it good, either-- so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and say "fair". We actually found the things we got to be uniformly plain, and although the vegan options were certainly good to find in such a vegan-unfriendly city as Hartford, my wife & I thought that the dishes lacked imagination. Not bad, mind you, but we'll definitely try a different place (maybe Fire & Spice) the next time we're in town. (And whatever you do, don't order the Ethopian wine.)

Pros: Prepared fresh, Vegan options, Fast service
Cons: Food just "OK", No atmosphere

Ethiopian in CT!

Abyssinian is the cure to the CT restaurant scene's lack of Ethiopian restaurants. The food is fresh, and gently spiced in a way that will appeal to fans of spicy and mild foods alike. As is traditionally done in Ethiopia, food is eaten by scooping it up using a crepe-like flatbread called injeera. Abyssinian's injeera is homemade daily. You are given plenty of it to start, but the owner is happy to give more (at no extra charge) if you ask!

Pros: Fresh, Healthy Food, Kind staff, Ethnic Experience
Cons: Parking a bit difficult
