Good alternative to a generic grocery store

Trader Joe's has some products that I will only buy from them (gnocchi, flatbread mushroom pizza, thai dumplings). They do have a decent selection of items that can satisfy all appetites. However, the store is rather small and the items rather limited. It is good for picking up a couple of things, but every time i went there with an intention of getting groceries, i would lack something and have to go somewhere else to get it.

They have very friendly staff who are also very knowledgeable about their products. I would suggest reading the labels though, as some of the products are not as healthy as they are marketed to be.

All in all, I am happy with the place, but wouldn't do the bulk of my grocery shopping there.

Pros: Specialty TJ items
Cons: Limited selection, Not close to metro, Not entirely health-oriented

Worth Going to Weekly

I was happy to learn that there was a Trader Joe's in Rockville after having moved to the city. It is exactly what one who has visited a Trader Joe's store before would come to expect.

The quality of everything I've ever purchased here has been top notch. The organic produce is wonderful, aisle after aisle of food and organic cooking needs offers so much to be discovered and their assortment of vegetarian and vegan specialty items is welcoming.

All vegan food items are clearly labeled and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

They often offer samples is the back corner of the store.

I've become a fan of the Trader Joe's brand and enjoy shopping here regularly for groceries.

Cons: Not enough personal hygiene products
