Gift Shop wirth small Kitchen

A fair trade shop selling typical stuff such as candles, incense burners, jewellery & scarves etc (just exactly the things we vegetarians need!) To be fair, it's a nice shop but just not selling the kind of products I'd buy personally. There's a tiny kitchen that sometimes serves vegetarian food when the demand is there or if ordered in advance according to the friendly member of staff who we spoke to. Go and have a look, it's right opposite Anne Frank Huis and on the way up to Bolhoed along the beautiful Prinsengracht.

Indian food

Very small place that looks from the outside like an indian giftshop but if you are looking for a very good place to eat, this is the place to be!! They cannot advertise their food because they're not really a restaurant. Every day another special. They also sell homemade eko bread, sweets etcetera.

Pros: excellent food, friendly staff, healthy cuisine
Cons: very small place

Fresh & tasty food with cool staff!

I first tried this place some months ago and keep coming back regularly. There are always some new specialties to try, from exotic soups to various pizza's. One of the things I sincerely appreciate is the customer service provided by the owners. Apart from the day menu they are willing to look if they can prepare your veggie favourites the same day if you give them a call. Since I am into freshly baked breads this store provides me with another reason to have a satisfactory lunch - I have purchased various wholesome breads that go well with veggie spreads.

Pros: fresh food, friendly staff, great specialities
