Review: This is a wonderful vegan oasis in the middle of Kentucky. The grocery section contains all of the familiar vegan options that you rely upon. The cafe is a good spot for a nice meal, containing a salad bar and an assortment of hot plate options that are clearly marked with ingredient lists. The vegan veggie stew was fabulous! They also have a nice selection of vegan desserts to soothe that sweet tooth. The vegan brownie is big enough to share, if you are so inclined. ;) The inside seating is limited to a few tables, but there is more seating outside when the weather is nice. Don't forget to utilize their newly remodeled eco-friendly bathrooms before you leave!
Pros: Many vegan options * Great staff * Excellent cafe

Review: This place was so great! I was visiting Lexington and never would've expected their grocery store to be better than the one by my home in Brooklyn! They had a ton of vegan options and also clearly stated all food allergies with the ingredients list. My friend is gluten free and she had a ton of options too! LOVE this place! Friendly staff too!

Review: While traveling through the area, I wanted to take the opportunity to swing by this place after having read about it online. This was much easier said than done. The directions I had (which were obtained from another website) were rather vague and also completely off kilter. After stopping for directions I made it to the market & was delightfully surprised at what I found. The deli was humming with business & had a variety of menu items but a limited grab & go section. Sporting a salad bar, olive bar, & wide variety of freshly baked as well as international/unusual breads, this market would be an ideal spot to shop for an impromptu picnic. The health & body section was small but well stocked with a small selection of varied items. The holistic health/books section seemed limited mainly to gift-type books. Throughout the store locally made/crafted products can be found & add to the community vibe of this market. Produce section was small but vibrant & plentiful. A great coffee selection is to be found here with far-trade & equal opp. products abounding. Store also hosts an impressive selection of vegan candy & goodies & vegan baked items in the deli.
The staff here is cheery & eager to help, after requesting a product they no longer carried (vegan marshmallows), they offered to order it for me.
Pros: Vegan sweets * friendly staff * welcoming vibes
Cons: limited book selection * limited feminine care * |

Review: I recommend the Sunday brunch, we love the vegan biscuits and gravy(sometimes you have to ask for it because they keep it in back and not on hot bar). Have vegan food labled on hot and cold bars and items change daily (love the vegan 7 layer salad), also you can order smoothies and sandwiches from counter. Great vegan wraps and the TLT is the best (tempeh, lettuce, tomato)
Pros: food options change * great food * serve yourself
Cons: price * meat is served on bars * busy |
