organic veg friendly store + cafe
Posted on 01 / 24 / 2011Coming into Motueka for lunch not knowing if there'd be anything vegan, seeing a sign marked "organic vegan + vegetarian cafe" was very exciting - exactly my kind of place. Arcadia stocks a wide range of salads and mostly non-vegan baked goods. I almost settled on a quinoa salad before deciding on a wholemeal-crusted curried veg pie - much healthier tasting than your usual mince pie! Also had to try their range of ice cream, made with soy, goat, almond or coconut milk and sweetened with agave. I got a soy/coconut chocolate pottle. Ice cream was icy at first but softened up after 15 mins or so, yum.
