Review: El Huerto is a relaxed oasis in the bustling heart of Málaga. The menu is eclectic, with about four or five vegan dishes. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality (e.g. 6-9 euros for a main dish). The very helpful server wasn't sure at first which items on the menu were vegan, but when asked he happily went to ask the chef.

Note to those who don't speak Spanish: there is no English menu (at least not as of August '09), so you might need a little sense of adventure. Vegans may need to ask which dishes are suitable.

Pros: Good food * Calm setting * Good prices
Cons: Vegan dishes not marked on the menu * *

Review: Found this place just by walking around, how excellent is that! They had a blackboard outside with the Menú del día, so you could see what stuff they had every day. The V options are clearly marked. They served warmed wholemeal bread, which is always a wonderful surprise in Spain. The food was good, particularly the ajoblanco and the gazpacho. We were so stuffed after the starter, first course, and second course that we had to skip the dessert!

Pros: Central location * Vegan options *
Cons: * *
