Review: Mmm mmmm. Lip smacking good. I was a bit suspicious about a German restaurant selling an Indian curry, but they pulled it off. The curry was light, tasty with lots of subtle flavours and very filling.
The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is warm, they also have free WiFi/WLan. It's three star food at two star prices, great value.
I highly recommend it.
Pros: Warm atmosphere * Good value * Tasty food
Cons: Menu only in German * Door opens out * |

Review: We visited Manna three times while in Berlin trying to taste some food created by vegan chef Tolgar, but ended up being disappointed every time, as he was not working on the times that we visited. Obviously the quality of the food at Manna changes dramatically depending on who is in the kitchen . The food was lack lustre, salads overdressed and heavy cheesy dishes dominated the menu.
Service was close to the worst we have ever experienced, with one waiter swearing and other waitstaff ignoring us completely. On our final visit to Manna, after a ten minute wait without any service let alone eye contact from any of the staff, we had to go to the counter ourselves to order our drinks and food.
Try Hans Wurst just a couple of streets over instead.
Pros: * *
Cons: terrible service * average food * |

Review: A small restaurant that insiders might remeber existed almost a decade ago just a few streets away. What was good about it then is still great. Fresh and original vegetable dishes - mostly vegan - great salads, the classic Manna Burger. Menus change daily. It's not cheap, but well worth the price. Main dishes are between 7 and 10€.
Pros: superb vegetable dishes * outside seating * very friendly service
Cons: small, just a few tables * * |

Review: A cosy restaurant with an extremely friendly and helpful staff. Offers a daily changing, highly imaginative choice of vegetarian dishes - of which 2 options are always vegan. You will find German, Asian, Italian and other cuisine to choose from. Apart from that, any dish can be modified to your taste or dietary wishes. One of the three chefs is an inspired vegan, who can whip out astonishing surprises. The food is simply great, filling, beautiful to look at (also important!) and lovingly prepared. Highly recommended!
Pros: very original and imaginative dishes * friendly staff * vegan options always possible
Cons: "Prenzlberger" prices * * |
