Review: The interior was an absolute wreck, the food was just fair and service was nothing to write home about. The staff was friendly and the prices were fair, but overall this was the equivalent of a vegan fast food restaurant. Only place we tried in Houston, hope there are better out there!
Pros: friendly staff * moderate prices * convenient location
Cons: bland food * no decor at all * only fair service |

Review: I'm looking at the other reviews and I have to say that the prices are not expensive- very cheap in fact- and the portions are plentiful...the BBQ Tofu sandwich is one of my favorites and it's only $6- comes with a big pile of fries. I've also had the Tofu Scramble breakfast sandwich ($5 and very, very filling!) and it was so delicious! I stopped by for happy hour yesterday and had the buffalo tofu wings ($5 included a Pearl beer!) (w/ spicy bbq sauce) and I couldn't even finish them all. My meat-lovin' friend and I split a vegan Oatmeal Whoopie Pie that was SO SO SO ridiculously good that I just don't believe it was vegan (though the head chef, who is vegan, laughed and swore it was.)
Pros: Great fresh vegan breads * Best tofu wings EVER * Incredible locally made vegan desserts
Cons: Gets loud late night (but I don't mind) * Kitchen open til 12am (wish it was 2am) * |

Review: I've been here several times now and have consistently been underwhelmed by the food. For the most part it is bland and underseasoned, with the exception of the mexican dishes which all have way too much cumin in them. I think I want to like this place more than I actually do. I will continue to support it though because it is so vegan friendly and so centrally located, and I really appreciate what they're trying to do. I do agree with the other review in that it does take a long time to get your food, but not about the price. Their menu does seem to change, so hopefully they will makes some new dishes that are more to my liking.
Pros: decent food * reasonable price * vegan friendly
Cons: food underseasoned * long wait time * |

• Since this review, I went back once and was made to wait 45 minutes for my meal, which was again bland, and have now sworn to never go back. They didn't even offer an apology.. response by rvasquez

Review: Extremely pricey, considering the portions they serve in one meal. Cuban salad was really small for a $6 salad, and often they don't provide enough fries to go with the burgers. Sometimes it also takes a while to get served, but otherwise the food is decent.
Pros: Variety * Desserts *
Cons: Quantity * Price * |

• The menu prices at Mango's start at $2- like $2 Quesadillas for $2, or breakfast tacos for $2. Mango's is not expensive, especially for being a vegetarian restaurant in a high-end part of town. Most of the menu items are priced between $5 and $8.. response by Commandrea
