Review: The farmers' market is the best place to mingle with the locals and find out what life is actually like in Puerto Viejo.
Locally grown and organic produce; fair trade coffee and chocolate; hand baked turmeric bread; tempeh, kombucha and dried organic fruits; local crafts; organic beauty products and vegetarian tamales to go! This small very local market has everything you might want for your stay whether it be for the weekend, or for a few months. Every saturday, downtown 7am to 10am.
Pros: local food * organic food * local culture
Cons: early Saturday morning * * |
