For brunch they had a tofu scramble, vegan mac 'n' cheese, vegan chili, veggie pot pie, tofurkey sausage, smoothies, etc. For vegetarians, there was stuffed french toast, omelettes, quiche, lots to choose from. And the best part of all: vegan pie!
Casual, slightly upscale, warm environment.
They're open at 7:30am now for coffee and baked goods. Cafe opens at 10. For dinner they're open till 9pm (9:30p Fri&Sat).
Aphrodite is so expensive and sometimes the portions are tiny but they always have veggie options, that can be veganized if applicable. The hummus with roasted garlic is great.
I have been several times. I would not say I ever crave the place but it is great to meet with friends on Saturday brunch.
A great cafe with some vegan options, including vegan pies (which are listed). They have different specials that changes often and the food is simple and good. It's more of a place to come for lunch or dessert. It can get busy, and seating is limited, so, there may be a bit of a wait during peak times.
Pros: Some vegan entrees, Some vegan piesThey have a fresh sheet that changes every week, as well as the regular menu. They always have at least one vegetarian entree on the fresh sheet that is amazing. I usually go for the 3 course option. You get a soup or salad, entree plus a pie. Great vegan pie selections as well.
