Review: I think this place is best used for vegan loafs of bread and two cookies. I think they might have a vegan brownie, too. They also have a small grocery shelf with a few essentials like soy milk, etc. However, if you want to place an order here I think they'll make you anything you can imagine that a bakery would make vegan! Very nice and the sourdough rye bread I got was amazing toasted!

Review: Unfortunately I found this place about a month or so before I moved, so my experience here is rather limited. I've only had their Vegan bread and their Vegan oatmeal cookies. I think they're good and was delighted to have a place to purchase Vegan baked goods; however, I wouldn't write home about their stuff. However, as any St. Louisan knows, there aren't many options out there for Vegan baked goods...so be sure to try Black Bear Bakery – hopefully they add more snacks to their menu in the future. Also, I was told they will be supplying places like The Juicebox with baked goods, so be sure to visit them too.
If you're ever at the Soulard Farmers Market, be sure to look for their booth, they often bring those Vegan oatmeal cookies!
Pros: * *
Cons: Not the greatest location * * |

Review: This place has really great vegan cookies. They have two varieties - peanut butter chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin. They also have a variety of vegan breads. I've tried many of them and they can be hit-or-miss. Sometimes the bread is really salty, especially the pumpernickel. They have a booth at the Soulard Farmer's market, which is really convenient!
Pros: Tasty cookies * Friendly staff *
Cons: Questionable neighborhood * Cash only * Expensive |
