Review: This is clearly the best Whole Foods in the Westside area. The Mexican Food station has a sign that says "Vegan Chef at this station" I thought that was really cool! one thing that was missing was Vegan Kitchen take out meals that are at every other whole foods? Also, they have Vegan Sorbets clearly labeled in their sorbet stand.

Review: Was here in September 2008, on the same week it opened. This is a giant store with all the usual food and products Whole Foods carries but a whole lot bigger and more.
The food court area is large as well. Vegan and vegetarian items are all labeled as such. There is a separate veg hot food bar. Other food stations include sushi station, hot rice/noodle bowl station, Mexican food station, Middle Eastern food, pizza, sandwich station, desserts bar, and the deli. The deli items are also labeled, and veg items are group together to one side. The salad and hot foods bar are priced by weight and can get pricey. But one can also eat on the cheap.
My husband and I shared a burrito from the Mexican food station, and it came with the option of a spicy faux meat and onion filling, along with salsa, lettuce, and side of chips (very tasty, only $5). We also shared a falafel sandwich from the Middle Eastern food station (tasty, $6). Also a carrot soup. The portions are fair but not big. Seating is provided inside and outside.
Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience here. It was fast, tasty, and cheap.
Grocery-wise, the prices of most items are moderate to expensive, but one can try to look for sale items.
Pros: many food choices * veg-friendly * seating area
Cons: some products expensive * * |
