Review: I loved this place! It's a green oasis in the city. The staff was down-to-earth and so accomodating when I was coming off a three-day detox, making the juice I needed to-order. The counter-person offered even me a wheatgrass shot when she learned I had been cleansing. The Green Smoothie was awesome. They use a touch of hemp milk to make it extra creamy! I was amazed by the pecan and key lime pies! It's a great location just a block or so from Parc Mont Royale. I've gone raw since eating at this place. They even have a great selection of cookbooks and books on becoming raw. I highly recommend it.
Pros: Friendly * Affordable * Location
Cons: Small * Busy * |

Review: i really liked Crudesscence. I would recommand any smoothies or desserts, they're all so good. But the bests, for me, are avocado-lime pie, and kale-cayenne-mint smoothie! The pizza on a raw olive crust, loaded with nut cheese, marinara and veggies, is also totally decadent. Pricey but worth the stop.

Review: I am not a raw-foodist, just a vegan that eats raw from time to time. I love this restaurant for the little "balls" they have - delicious raw vegan treats. They are so so good. They also make nice smoothies here.
I have eaten a full meal here once or twice. It is always a neat experience (raw-vegan lasagna? who'd have thunk it) and I always feel healthy afterwards. I have to say I notice the dent in my wallet and I find the food a bit bland.
They have just expanded and I have yet to check out the new layout and, possibly, new menu but look forward to doing so.
Too pricey to be a regular stop for me but I am thankful it is in the neighbourhood and thankful for their delicious healthy treats!
Pros: Healthy * Vegan treats * Smoothies
Cons: Pricey * bland * |

Review: Nice clean, bright location in a funky part of town. We had an appy of endive lettuce with tasty salsa. For the entrees, I had "La Pura Vida Lazagna" - Zucchini slices layered with a sun-dried tomato sauce, basil and sprouted sunflower seed cheese and sprinkled with Crumesan (Brazil nut cheese), and my hubby had the Om burger (flax bun). Both were very tasty. We also tried their maple Kombucha (bubbly fermented tea), which was pretty good. Different, but good. All in all, we highly recommend Crudessence.
Pros: Healthy cuisine * Excellent food *
Cons: * * |

Review: I was very pleasantly surprised at the food. I got a plate with a bit of everything and the food was interesting, tasty and satisfying. As another reviewer mentioned, I was also energized after the meal. If it's available, definitely get the lemon pie for dessert, it was so good I had 2 slices!
Tip: the earlier in the day you go, the more variety you will have to choose from.
Pros: tasty * healthy * energizing
Cons: not a lot of seating * * |

Review: Crudessence is Organic Raw Vegan!!!!
My husband and don't eat out a lot but make a point to go to Crudessence about twice a month for raw lasagna and smoothies. If I remember correctly it's $5.25 for a small and $7.50 for a large smoothie.
*If you order a large make sure you get it in a glass because sometimes they will put it in a to go cup that isn't nearly as big as the large glass so you end up paying more money for a smaller amount of smoothie!
It is a little expensive but it's worth the quality ingredients that go into the food. I always feel immediately energized after eating there! They also have salads, pizza, apple pie, chocolates, and lots of other goodies on display that I can't wait to try!
The only thing I don't like about the place is that they have a really small sitting area. There are three bar stools by the window and a big table that will sit about five people. So if it's crowded we'll drink our smoothies there and get our food to go. Still, this is a great place that everyone should check out!
They have a great website too with community events and their uncooking workshops!! crudessence.com
Pros: raw vegan * organic * yummy food
Cons: small sitting area * * |
