This place is great for vegans as they stock all sort of vegan things (ice-cream, whipped cream, breads, etc...), however, prices are over the top.

On the negative side this place seems to pride itself in the extreme bad customer service they give. I asked the lady if they had untoasted buckwheat & if she could show me to it. She said it was "over there". Asking her if she could show me to the product for the second time, she asked another member of staff (in a stroppy manner) to do it for her. Simply surreal and so offputting. Also, match the prices on the receipt&labels or you risk to be overcharged.

Pros: large selection of vegan foods
Cons: poor customer service, very expensive

I'm glad this place is here as they're often the only place that has something or other in stock.

However, the staff here all seem to be angry that they have customers and are not happy to help them. This is not a reflection of Revital as other Revital shops I've been to have great staff. It seems to just be this shop. There is one staff member here who is friendly but the majority of them are grumpy all the time.

Other places in Solihull for vegan food - Holland and barrett have ready to eat snacks in the fridge. Wagamama have a vegan menu if you ask. Giraffe opposite wagamama has one or two more limited Vegan options. You can get a meal deal from Boots who have two vegan sandwiches, fruit salads and a selection of drinks for 3 pounds. Sainsburys sometimes have sandwiches.

Revital Health Food Store

This store is excellent for vegetarians and vegans, and if they sold fresh fruit and veg I'd do all my shopping here.

Previously an independent health store, it has now been taken over by the Revital chain.

The shop has 2 floors with the second floor devoted to medicines, vits and minerals, supplements, herbal, homeopathic and the like. It also stocks a large range of organic toothpastes, skin and body care products, deodorants etc.

The first floor sells all the food a veggie or vegan could need. If faux meat is your thing they have a large selection of meats and vegan cheeses and blocks of tofu.

Lots of nuts, seeds, herbs and spices, dried fruit and a fridge full of omega and coconut oils. Plus a large selection of gluten free products.

There are also some goods that I'd usually have to order over the internet: cocoa nibs, hemp protein and breads like pumpernickel.

All in all I like it. And I always seem to find new stuff whenever I visit.

Pros: Great for veggies and vegans
