	Review: Chico Natural Foods is a food coop. But don't be surprised to sense that something is awry. Where does the buck stop? The website is inoperable, there is no way to contact the manager via e-mail, employees appear to be fighting the good fight. A prime example of corporate insensitivity taking over where kindness and well meaning customer service used to be welcomed. I'd choose Safeway over this.   Pros: convenient to downtown * employees try hard * good herbs and suppliment Cons: opressive management * inadequate marketing * tense atmosphere

As an ex-employee and ex-board member I can assure you that the management is cruel and oppressive. The love has been squeezed out leaving a cold heartless money grubbing evil mean spirited corporate entity in its place. When I moved to Chico I was enchanted by the community embodied by CNF. The staff was friendly, helpful, and downright righteous loving and caring. I witnessed the transformation and am truly saddened by what has happened.. response by happydad - report abuse -
