Review: Yes, the food is good...when they have it. They were out of the first two things I ordered. I settled on a cup of chili which was actually very good, but I think I paid around $6 for it! A cup, not a bowl mind you. My lunch date got an enormous plate of raw pasta (the "pasta" is actually thin strips of zucchini) topped with marinara sauce. There was enough to share. I noticed that the table next to us had left their apple cobbler?pie? uneaten, so we ordered the cheesecake (vegan - made with cashew), but again the price was astronomical. I've had better for half the price. For those prices, I expect exceptional, and not just "good". There is no atmosphere to the place - seeing as how it's located at the back of a shop/center. There's a handful of tables, and a message board that is the main focus of the eating area. I won't be back unless I have money to burn.
Pros: tasty food * *
Cons: Expensive * Overpriced * Not a good value |

Review: If only the Soma Center where cheap enough to eat at everyday. There is nothing on the menu that disgusts my taste buds and only one bland entree, their tuno salad. There desserts are amazing, and they even sell hard to find vegan marshmellows. (sweet and sara's)
Their fruits and vegetables, by themselves, are so memorable. I still remember a baby carrot I ate, I had lasagna, which was good, but I couldn't believe how tasty a *carrot* could be.
The sad thing is they are not entirely vegan, although they did make the change to completely vegetarian (which I asked them to consider before).
They have yogurt for smoothies. (and milk, organic milk, but organic milk makes organic veal..) I mentioned that soy live yogurt is readily available but I haven't seen a change.
Grieving mothers and calves don't matter?
Anyhoot. Good atmosphere, and the staff normally know their stuff.
Pros: friendly service * knowledgable staff * great food
Cons: expensive * not entirely vegan * SLOW |

Review: I spend about half of every year in Florida, and go to SOMA cafe as much as possible. Soma has a great atmosphere with relatively inexpensive raw cuisine.
I recommend salads or sandwiches made with the walnut or almond pate. The raw cheesecake is usually quite good, too Other dishes are usually good (although - as of April 2009 when I'm writing this review - I'd recommend staying away from the "Tuno" salad - it was terribly bland).
The atmosphere is very casual and they have a very pleasant garden area in the back. The owners, Richard and Erin are very nice people. The service? Well, don't order if you are in a hurry. Often, the simplest dishes take forever to come, and occasionally orders just get forgotten.
Nevertheless, Soma is a charming little place to go for breakfast, lunch, dinner or anything in between. The food is usually very good, and the prices are reasonable.
Pros: atmosphere * tasty raw, vegan dishes * reasonable prices
Cons: service is sometimes very slow * * |

Review: I've been visiting family in the Palm Beach area this week and getting a bit desperate for food I could eat other than potatoes.
I found the Soma Center Cafe online and tracked it down yesterday in cute Lake Worth before dinner and got a piece of their raw raspberry vanilla cheesecake so I wouldn't have to sit out on dessert at dinner with the family.
The cafe was nice and clean and cute. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I even had a nice conversation with an employee that was originally from my area before heading back to where I was staying. I wish I could've stayed longer!
The cheesecake was fantastic. Better than most \"real\" cheesecake every tasted. Not too sweet, very rich but refreshing as well, no \"funny\" taste, and had a wonderful decadent texture to it.
I'll definitely be going back the next time I'm visiting.
Pros: clean * friendly * large menu
Cons: not cheap (but what is?) * * |

Review: We are been to this place a few times. It is casual and not 100% vegan. The staff knows the menu well and is always willing to provide suggestions. A great place to go for a good vegan lunch.
The walnut pate is good as are the sandwiches.
Pros: easy to find * nice help * reasonable prices
Cons: * * |
