Review: we stopped by to eat here while they were having a spiritual and holistic healing festival, so they had a buffet lunch for 15 soles. we ate it and it was very tasty. they only problem is that dishes ran out and we had to wait for more food to come out, but it wasnīt much of a bother.
i went back there a second time to get some cakes and candies. it was a monday and apparently they are closed on mondays. but they had 2 OPEN signs out, so i kept knocking until someone answered. they told me they were closed, but all i wanted to do was buy some cakes, so they let me in. vegan cake slices (coca, apple cinnamon, and banana chocolate) for 2-3 soles each, and they were decently sized and excellent tasting. they also had these chocolate candy balls for 1 sole each. i tried the peanut, muņa, and coffee; all of which were excellent.
CLOSED ON MONDAYS.
Pros: laid back * vegan goodies *
Cons: unattentive * * |

Review: I went to eat here last week (January 2009), and the waitress's hands were filthy, dirt under all of her finger nails. I ended up taking my food to go which I threw out. I think she also prepared the meal as I saw her in the kitchen

Cons: Dirty * * |

• Hi Islandveg, Thanks for the heads up on the dirty hands at this place. Other people say it is great, so maybe I'll go and check it for myself and take a peek at the kitchen and the cook.. response by Jeffrey

Review: I've eaten here five times, and always ordered the set menu. For 8 soles (less than $3), you get whole-grain bread, a choice of soup (pumpkin, quinoa, spinach, vegetable), a choice of main dish (pumpkin stew, broad bean stew, veggie burger, sauteed veggies, or chickpea stew), and tea. The set menu doesn't change, but it is offered for lunch and dinner, which is a plus. Food is good and very healthy, though I always asked for hot sauce to add a little spice. Unfortunately, the cake and cookies on the menu were never available. This and El Encuentro are the best veggie options in Cusco.
Pros: Healthy food * Good set menu * inexpensive
Cons: * * |
