Review: Ok, so its not the best place in the world lol. But give it a shot.
Its not that authentic "chaat" we find in India, but like most Indian restaurants Ive been too, they tend to cater for ppls taste buds and will compromise with ingredients.
Cool Breeze started off as an ice-cream place, mainly deserts, and now has a huge menu. They also offer lunch time buffets with mainly South Indian food, and a juice bar. The juice bar...hmmm...lol..well, it isnt bad lol. I tried the fresh watermelon juice out, and when they first started making it, was good. The second time tasted like..it didnt taste very nice lol so, try it if you really want to lol.
And they have recently renovated the place. TV's showing Bollywood songs lol.
Depending on who cooks for you, your dish taste and quality will vary lol. I have had lovely meals, and then, totally yucky ones!
*But make sure you tell them, they will make you a new one.
Try out the Samosa Chaat. And many of my friends love their Masala Dosa. They do cater for vegan dishes, and can leave out onion, garlic, and/or mushroom.
Ohhh, and if you have not already, try a falooda drink. Milk, ice-cream, rose syrup, and basil seeds with thin rice noodles. It is well yummy.
Cool Breeze does get very, very busy, and a lot of people like it, so I think sometimes, the lack of the quality of their food is because they are so much in demand. And there is no other place in Cary/Morrisville/Raleigh that serves or specializes in "Chaat".
But yeah, try it our, and if anything, it is located in a nice area, you can explore other stores there.
Pros: lively atmosphere * many options * something new
Cons: lapsy quailty of the food sometimes * mistakes made on orders * |

Review: Disclaimer: I gave it two cows, because it is the lowest you can give.
One of worst places to eat. The food is horrible.
Chaat: They have no idea what chaat should taste like, even the stuff they buy to put on their chaat is old, and disgusting. There is no cohesion in the way they make their chaat, its as-if, \\"lets throw these ingredients and put it on a plate\\". If you looking to eat chaat that tastes good, or does not hurt your sense of taste, or your stomach, you should avoid this place. If you even look at the papadi chaat they serve you, I am sure you would not eat it. Eating it would be \\"paap\\" (sin). What they call paapdi is not even paapdi.
Dinner: The last time I checked kofta in malai kofta was not a ball of fried batter with a single or two piece of onion in it. The gravy sucked (and is the same gravy in the other side-dishes) they make. You are better off, buying some frozen dish from the indian store next door.
To conclude, they are simply exploiting the fact that there is no other place in the triangle that serves chaat. I am sticking to the bhel I can make for now. I strongly urge you not to waste your time/appetite/money going there.
Pros: none * none * none
Cons: food * food * ambiance |
