Review: We decided to try Annapurna when my mom was visiting from the US eventhough everytime we passed the restaurant was empty. BAD idea! The food was terrible. The Naan bread was burnt, portions were small and it was over priced for what you got.
Pros: no problem getting a table * *
Cons: Food was terrible * * |

Review: me and my husband went to there last Sat.this is the first time we come here after hearing of some much about it.although i m not a strict vegetarian,I still love eating vegetable for 6 days a week.I feel this is a right place.the orange color lamps are giving warm welcome and unique atmosphere, when we entered the door,a very friendly waitress approached us,after simply greeting, she brought us to the most comfortable seats, there was flower and lamp ready, heater was just beside legs, suddenly we feel like at home.background music brings peace and oriental culture which makes us feel like sitting in restaurant in india...
food was coming with hot plates, water glasses were filled by the alarmed waitress, when whole dinner was approaching to the end,she again came and ask if any thing else.dessert menu was given after whole table was cleaned up.we didnt have any since we are filled with all seasoned tastes in our mouth, but we still packed some Kheer home.
I love this experience in whole and I would love to come here again in my next day off.

Review: We went here in May. Found the food to be tasty but the value for your money was very poor ie tiny portions.
Recommend to go to Yogi's on Commercial Drive instead.
Pros: Tasty * Decor is ok *

Review: I really like this place - delicious vegan meals! people who say you can go elsewhere - not true! there isn't another vegetarian indian place in the lower mainland! go for lunch - the entrees are a lot cheaper and it a lot more quiet. I think they give a discount of a few dollars off entrees. oh - and this food IS authentic, unlike the butter chicken (which is NOT) that other people seem to want from other places...and yeah, all veg!
Pros: filling * value * good portions
Cons: busy in evening * * |

Review: We went for Dinner one evening of Sept when we were visiting Vancouver. We were attracted by "Vegetarian" attribute of the restaurant.
The Service - was below average. We had two place setting between 4 of us. After we got our first Appetizers, we had to ask for additional 2 sets. Nobody ask for Drinks nor water.
Food Quality - Poor.
We ordered 4 entrees. 1 of which came 'Stinking'. When we complaint, they just took it away without any regret, apology or information.
Again after waiting for 10 min we gave up the idea of getting a replacement and ordered additional en tree to which they said 'The replacement is coming' - Wow - What a Communication!
Overall the food was no way near the definition of "Authentic" and not well presentable either.
Ambiance: Although the use of "Paper Globes Lights" (Do not know what else to call) - was inviting. It was too dark a lighting.
Value: Not a very good value for money. We did not even get replacement free nor they gave any discounts.
We had to catch a flight so we did not bother to negotiate.
All in all - Avoid this restaurant at any cost. Their are many much better options if you drive another 10 minutes from this place on Main Street and 48th Street area.
Pros: None Worth Noting * *
Cons: Poor Quality Food * Poor Service * Dark Lighting |
